Friday Flashback

{Every Christmas I love taking the Victorian Christmas stroll while sipping spiced cider through the Henry B Plant Museum. Beneath towering silver minarets, an extravagantly adorned former Tampa Bay Hotel captures the spirit of the season – Victorian style.  There are 14 exhibit rooms; each dazzling with trimmed trees uniquely designed in 19th century themes and antique holiday accessories. While strolling down the Grand Hallway, your spirits will soar as you become immersed in carolers singing, Charles Dickens, much loved toys, wrapped gifts, Christmas stockings and a chance to meet Old Saint Nick.}
Hi Friends! This has been one of those weeks. It started off Monday when I went for my first ever dermatologist appointment and had to have a suspicious mole on the sole of my foot cut out. As I anxiously await the results from the biopsy, I am left with a gaping hole that needs to heal that at times sends me through the roof in pain. These are the times I'm thankful I don't walk so I don't need to put much pressure on it. The rest of the week consisted of signing and mailing our Christmas cards, finishing up Christmas shopping and wrapping up everything at work since today is my last day in the office until January 3. I cannot wait to have some much needed down time to enjoy all the holiday traditions that make this time of year so very special. I hope everyone has a very festive weekend!

P.S. Time is ticking away for your chance at one of three designer notebooks from the Felt & Wire Shop giveaway. Enter here. Don't let your chance to snag one pass you by.

{The holiday's are all about traditions. When my hubby was a child, one of his favorite books was Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree by Robert Barry. It had been destroyed when he was younger in a leak they had in their Attic. Last year I bought this for him as one of his Christmas gifts. His eyes lit up with excitement as he saw this once treasured item again. This year it sits proudly on our coffee table by the Christmas tree and we have made it a point to snuggle on the couch and read it together. So sweet!}

{Can you believe this is entire made of ice? Every last bit of it. Two million pounds of ice are carved into holiday-themed creations that sit inside a cooler-like giant "tent", maintained at nine degrees at the Gaylord Orlando Hotel's Ice exhibit. It is absolutely spectacular to see!}

{I was never in to eggnog growing up. My hubby re-introduced this holiday classic to me with a hint of rum splashed in, and now, I think my mind has changed.}

{I would love to add these Miu Miu glitter flats to my wardrobe, but at their mere $500 price tag, they will have to stay on my Christmas wish list for when I'm famous someday.}
