Click, Color & Go!

It was mentioned recently by one of the lovely ladies who follow I Look Good Today that they would like to see more of my makeup reviews. I always love trying new products and have recently found one that has landed a permanent spot in my cosmetic drawer!

Sally Hansen Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen, available in 8 colors, $8.49 at Walgreens makes giving yourself a manicure as easy as 1-2-3. Just click to dispense color, brush on and go!

As soon as I bought this and used it, I knew that some would love/like it and some would absolutely hate it! My first pen was in the color "Stone". It's a brown/red.

Here's how my first experience went. Click, click, click and the color comes down. On my first nail, there was too much. It comes down like a mega-drop of nail polish...and it was too much for my thumb nail. Now keep in mind I have extremely small hands. My wedding ring is a size 4. I thought, "oh great...bubbles for sure". Did the rest of my nails, but this time was a little more careful with my clickage.

I loved how it does dry quickly as the name suggests, and much to my surprise, that one thumb nail did NOT bubble. Waited about 15 min. and did a second coat (except for that one thumbnail which had enough). This time, much nicer. Had the click thing down.

Now I will say I am one of those girls who when they do their own nails looks like they came out with a salon manicure (I've always had a talent for painting nails), but I think that this pen applicator makes it much easier to be more precise with your polish.

When my nails were dry, I was pleased to see that the polish was still very shiny. The BIG surprise for me was that this product lasted through 5 days with little to no chipping. Gotta love that!

Have you tried this product before? Is it a product that you would try?

  5. They really are. Great to keep in your purse if you are going on a trip and need to do a quick polish. Once you get the hang of the clicking to know how much polish you need, these are the best! Let me know what you think!

  6. Just found your blog through Melissa's - new follower = ) I'm SO glad you had a review of this because I've been ever so hesitant to try it out, pretty much since they came out with the stuff! I always make a point to buy one, then my doubt gets the best of me and I decide to go the more traditional route... guess I'm off to try it out then!
