Friday Flashback

{Receiving two GORGEOUS fresh cut Maine Christmas wreaths from my parents. They get them for us each year to hang on our front doors. We keep them on the inside to enjoy the amazing pine smell! When we pulled into the driveway last night we saw the too big boxes by our front door. Knowing what they were my hubby said, "Get out of the car and go guard the wreaths!" Definitely one of our favorite gifts each yr!}

With Christmas lights popping up all around our neighborhood, Christmas music playing on the radio and the crispness in the air, I can't help but feel like a child, completely overwhelmed with joy by the approaching holiday. This year hubby and I have decided to go a little retro with our Christmas decorating. The lights on our tree are the larger painted bulbs, we have some of the larger plastic light up decor in our lawn and decorative accents that either remind us of or are actually from our childhood. We have even found a few of our favorite childhood Christmas memories online and are anxiously awaiting their arrival. . .gotta love Ebay! I hope you've had a wonderful week!

{I love it when co-workers bring in desserts for a mid-day sweet treat! This peanut butter pie recipe was so scrumptious!}

{The oak trees in our neighhborhood look magical at night.}

{I may not be a Justin Beiber fan, but I love the Not a Gold Bigger OPI nail polish in Justin Bieber's The One Less Lonely Girl Collection.}

  1. Christmastime is my favorite time of the year. Everything is so bright and cheerful. I love being able to drive through my neighborhood and see the hundreds of sparkly lights!
